Directions: From the Helipad, walk along the cliff. Turn right at the sign "Tibetan Market Welcomes You".
Walk straight, past the Tibetan Market and Juice Shack, for 50 metres.

ACCOMMODATION
Affordable accommodation can be arranged at the Baby House. These are double rooms, with bathroom attached, balconies/sit-outs, and hot water, TV, and A/C available.
The Baby House is on the cliff, 5-minute walking distance to Papanasam Beach and the Helipad.
Those who wish to make bookings, please contact us early, as rooms tend to fill up quickly, especially during the peak months (Dec and Jan).
For groups: A maximum of 12 people can stay.
Alternatively, many hotels and guesthouses are on Varkala Cliff. Rooms vary widely in rates and quality.
Transport
The nearest airport is Trivandrum (TRV), capital of Kerala, about 55 km away.
* Train from Trivandrum to Varkala is about 45 min. From Varkala train station to the beach is approx 4 km. You can get to the beach by bus, taxi, or auto.
* Bus from Trivandrum takes about 1.5 hrs. Board at Thampanur to Kallambalam stop. From the bus stop, you can take bus, taxi, or auto.
Things to do in Varkala
Varkala is a great place to relax, unwind, and rejuvenate. Besides yoga, there is ayurveda treatments, massage, and sightseeing. Places of interest around Varkala include: Janardhana Swami Temple, a major Hindu pilgrimmate site; Sivagiri Ashram, the samadhi place of Sri Narayana Guru; and private boating in Kappil, a small village 6km from Varkala.
